Battle Road Trail — Lincoln Section
Trail
The five-mile Battle Road Trail through Minuteman National Historical Park runs through Lincoln, following the original Bay Road along which British troops marched to Concord on April 19, 1775, and retreated under fire in the afternoon. The Lincoln section passes through wetlands and woodlands characteristic of the 18th-century landscape. Wayside exhibits mark ambush positions and skirmish sites.
