Museum dedicated to preserving and interpreting Black heritage in New England from the colonial era through the 19th century, including the role of Black soldiers in the Revolution.

What Happened Here

The museum includes the African Meeting House, the oldest Black church edifice in America. Black Bostonians served in the Revolution, and some like Crispus Attucks became martyrs to the cause.
