Second oldest cemetery in Boston (1659). Contains graves of notable colonists and offers views of Charlestown where the Battle of Bunker Hill took place.
What Happened Here
British soldiers used gravestones for target practice; musket ball marks remain visible on some stones. From here, the British directed artillery fire during the Battle of Bunker Hill.
