The ridge where colonial militiamen gathered on the morning of April 19 before descending to confront the British at the North Bridge.

What Happened Here

From this vantage point, minutemen watched smoke rise from Concord center and believed (incorrectly) that the British were burning the town. This sight prompted their advance toward the bridge.
